Thai Airways Operates Repatriation Flights from
Sydney and Auckland

Thai Airways International partnered with
the Thai Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Australian Embassy
Bangkok and the New Zealand Embassy Bangkok to operate two special
charter flights to bring stranded Thai citizens back home.
On Sunday, the airline flew 207 stranded Thais
back from to Thailand from Sydney on on flight TG476. The flight
left Sydney at 10:05 (local time) and arrived in Bangkok at 16:05.
Thai Airways will operate a repatriation from
Auckland, New Zealand, today.
To reduce the risk of transmission among cabin
crew and passengers, physical distancing procedures were applied
at check-in, passenger boarding, seating and disembarking.
Inflight meals were served in disposal boxes to avoid physical
contact.
Cabin crew were required to wear
protective suits, medical masks and gloves.
