China Airlines Asks All Passengers to Wear Face
Masks
|
China Airlines is now asking all its passengers to
wear face masks and has started taking the forehead temperature of
everyone before boarding a flight.
All passengers are now required to begin wearing a
face mask at check-in and it must continue to be worn during the
entire flight process as well as inside the cabin at all times,
except for when consuming food and drinks.
The move goes against the advice of the World
Health Organisation who has repeatedly said that people only need
to wear a face mask if they are sick or caring for sick people.
There is also now growing global concern about the lack of face
masks for the nurses and doctors who need them the most.
The airline's request could also cause a problem
for those who do not have a face mask as many shops have sold out.
All China Airlines passengers must also now
undergo a temperature check before boarding. Any person with a
forehead temperature of over 37.5°C (99.5°F), or unwilling to
cooperate with the procedure, will not be accepted to board the
flight.
