COVID19 Testing Facilities for Departing Passengers Open at Hong Kong
Airport
|
(31 Oct 2021)
To facilitate the increasing need for COVID19 test
results prior to travel, a testing facility has opened in
a non-restricted area of Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA),
with a second scheduled to open later this month.
The first COVID19 testing service is being
operated by Prenetics.
Passengers who want to take Prenetics' test will need to arrive at
the airport at least four hours before boarding to allow sufficient time
for completing the test and obtaining the test result on the same day.
Starting 21 December, Raffles Medical Group will
also provide testing services for passengers. Passengers will be
able to go to
the Airport Medical Centre to conduct the test, with results available
within 24 hours for specimens collected before noon.
The Prenetics service is open from 09:30 – 18:00
and is located at the L5 Counter A03 (across Arrivals Hall A) in
Terminal 1. The telephone number is +852 3008 1006.
The Raffles Medical Group service will be
available from 07:00 - 23:59 at counter L6, 6T104 (accessed by elevator near L7 departures
level Aisle A) in Terminal 1. The telephone number is +852 2261 2626.
Passengers are advised to book tests in
advance.
