CTrip has officially changed its name to
Trip.com.
Trip.com Group Limited began trading under its new name
on Wednesday.
Founded in 1999, the company has grown to become a
leading provider of online travel in China and Asia, claiming to
have approximately 400 million users.
The company says that over 35% of its total revenue and 100 million
users on the company's platforms can now be attributed to its business
outside Mainland China, including Australia, where Trip.com was officially launched in March
of this year.
“Twenty years
ago, we started our journey with our first call centre in China.
In 2013, we embarked on our second journey with our
'All-In-Mobile' strategy, which saw 80-90% of transactions move to
our mobile platforms,” said Trip.com Group CEO,
Jane Sun. “But our mission of delivering the best experience to
our customers has never changed, and now it’s time for us to set
out once more, with our sights on ‘making every trip the perfect
trip’ for customers across the globe.”
