Air France Takes Delivery of First Airbus
A350-900

Air France has taken delivery of its first
of 28 Airbus A350-900 aircraft.
The first jet out of a total order of 28
was handed over to Anne Rigail, Air France Chief Executive Officer
and Benjamin Smith, Air France-KLM Group Chief Executive Officer,
by Airbus Chief Commercial Officer Christian Scherer during a
ceremony held in Toulouse, France on Friday.
Air France’s three-class A350-900 has 324 seats including 34
full-flat business, 24 premium economy and 266 economy class
seats.
Powered by two Rolls-Royce Trent XWB engines,
the aircraft will be deployed on its
transatlantic and Asia routes.
Air France operates 143
Airbus aircraft, including 114 single-aisle and 29 wide-body planes.
The airline has also ordered the popular
single-aisle A220 (formerly the Bombardier C Series), which will join the fleet over the next
years.
