Makie Chu Joins Dorsett City London as GM

Ms. Makie Chu has been appointed as General Manager of Dorsett City London, Dorsett Hospitality’s second hotel in the United Kingdom.

Makie (pictured) has over 20 years of hospitality industry experience. During her career, she has worked in the United Kingdom, Hong Kong, Mainland China and Macau for many of the most respected brands in the industry including Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts, Shangri-La Hotels & Resorts and Westin.

Opened in July 2017, the 13-storey, 267 key Dorsett City London is located in the heart of the City of London's financial district and the gateway to East London with the vibrancy of Shoreditch and its array of galleries, boutiques and markets nearby. The hotel is within walking distance to the Tower of London, Tower Bridge, Leadenhall Market, Tate Modern, Spitalfields Markets, Brick Lane, Borough Market and Columbia Road Flower Market. Adjacent to Aldgate Station, the hotel also provides easy access in and around London and just minutes from Tower Gateway for the 02 Arena, Canary Wharf, Excel and London City Airport.
