CALC Orders 65 Airbus A320neo Family Aircraft
|
China Aircraft Leasing Group (CALC) signed a
firm order for 50 Airbus A320neo Family aircraft at the end of
December and last week ordered an additional 15 Airbus A320neo
aircraft.
The Airbus A320neo aircraft will be delivered to
CALC in stages between 2022 and 2023.
Following this incremental order, CALC’s total
order book with Airbus will increase to 217 aircraft.
Mr. Mike Poon, Chief Executive Officer of CALC,
said, “Since CALC’s inception, we have
maintained a close and dynamic relationship with Airbus, and the
commitment marks yet another endorsement of our mutual trust. This
bulk purchase will significantly expand CALC’s fleet portfolio and
further solidify our position as a full value-chain aircraft
solutions provider. Currently, the majority of our fleet comes
from direct purchase from manufacturers and that will remain the
major source of our new aircraft.”
CALC currently owns a fleet of 107 aircraft, and
its backlog after the new order stands at 193 aircraft (143 Airbus
and 50 Boeing).
