Executive Appointments at Carlson Wagonlit Travel

Carlson Wagonlit Travel (CWT) has appointed Matt Beatty as Executive Vice President, Traveler Services.

Beatty has worked at CWT for nearly 25 years and moves to the executive team having been President, US Military & Government Markets, since 2011.

He will continue to be based in Minneapolis and will report directly to Douglas Anderson, CWT’s president and CEO.

Anderson said, “Traveler Services’ role is to make sure travelers have access to the latest technology, provide personalized service and ensure that our service is highly reliable and consistent around the world. Matt has done a fantastic job running our US Military and Government operations and will bring his strong track record of success to his new role.”

Nick Vournakis is succeeding Beatty as President, US Military & Government Markets, reporting to Patrick Andersen, President Americas.

Vournakis is currently CWT’s Senior Vice President, Global Marketing, where he has been instrumental in defining CWT’s product innovation agenda.

“Nick has had great success in leading teams at CWT, most recently in marketing and before that running the Solutions Group and CWT Canada. His leadership will enable us to remain ahead of the market in the US military and government sectors,” said Anderson.
