James Hang Joins North Hill City Resort in Chiang Mai as GM

North Hill City Resort, a new five-star resort near Chiang Mai in Thailand, has appointed James Hang as General Manager.

In this role, Hang will provide leadership during the resort’s highly anticipated opening and will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the resort moving forward. Additionally, Hang will oversee all operations at boutique sister property, Sireeampan Boutique Resort & Spa.

“We’re thrilled to have James Hang join the team as General Manager as we begin welcoming guests at North Hill City Resort,” said Mr. Sompak Trakarnkoolpunt, President of Koolpunt Ville Group, developer of the project. “We’re confident that his extensive hospitality experience and expertise in top-notch customer service will ensure every guest has a fantastic experience at the resort during the opening period and beyond.”

Hang has over 28 years of hospitality experience. His first job in the industry was as a Night Auditor at the Dynasty Hotel in Singapore. Throughout his years of experience, Hang has held multiple sales and marketing positions for renowned hotels, including Hard Rock Hotel Pattaya, The Royal Cliff Beach Resort, Le Meriden Phuket Beach Resort, Shangri-La Hotel Chiang Mai, The Scent Hotel and Peace Resort in Koi Samui.

His most recent positions include being General Manager of Chiang Mai Grandview Hotel & Convention Center and Director of Sales of Marketing for DusitD2 and Dusit Princess Chiang Mai.

Hang grew up in Petaling Jaya, Selangor in Malaysia and graduated from College Damansara Utama with a Business Administration Degree.

In addition to his passion for hospitality, he has an interest in music and worked with Form Records and Creasian Music as A&R International Manager.
