Swiss-Belhotel Signs First Hotel in Europe; Rebrands Grand Hotel Dimyat

Hong Kong-based Swiss-Belhotel International has taken over the management of the Grand Hotel Dimyat in Bulgaria.

The hotel, which has been rebranded as the Swiss-Belhotel Varna, is the group's first hotel in Europe.

The 74-room four-star Swiss-Belhotel Varna is located in the heart of the Black Sea coastal city next to the beautiful Sea Garden public park, 500-metres from the beach and 20-minutes from international airport.

The hotel features a Maya Spa which includes a 12-metre indoor pool, five treatment rooms, a hydrology zone with sauna and ice therapies, a salt room to relax and de-stress, a gym and a series of mud and salt therapies unique to the Black Sea area.

Other hotel facilities include free WiFi, a bar, 24-hour room service, in-room safety deposit box, disabled guest facilities, a free car park, gift shop and hair salon.

The hotel also caters to small and medium sized-events via two meeting rooms, the Galatea Ballroom that can accommodate up to 150 persons and the Darsalas auditorium which has 142 seats.

"Our entry into the highly competitive European market marks another exciting chapter in the Swiss-Belhotel International story," said Swiss-Belhotel International Chairman and President, Mr. Gavin M. Faull. "We started in Asia, expanded to Australia and New Zealand, and more recently have grown our presence in the Middle East for a group-wide management portfolio of 135 hotels, resorts and projects worldwide. The time is now right for the next phase in our growth strategy and we look forward to bringing our unique commitment of passion and professionalism in hospitality to Europe with Swiss-Belhotel Varna in Bulgaria."

Swiss-Belhotel opened its European headquarters in Greece last year. The company currently manages a portfolio of more than 135 hotels in destinations such as Indonesia, Malaysia, Vietnam, China, Australia, New Zealand, United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait and Egypt.
