Belmond Royal Scotsman Launches Action Stations

With access to some of the most spectacular natural sporting playgrounds in the UK, the Belmond Royal Scotsman has launched ‘Action Stations’, private charters and bespoke itineraries for adventurous groups of friends and family.

Belmond Royal Scotsman provides can accommodate up to 36 guests, combining luxury train travel through the Scottish Highlands and beyond, with a series of thrilling and adventurous off board excursions.

A choice of one night to week long overnight charters departing from Edinburgh can include such off board sporting activities and day excursions as white water rafting, climbing, abseiling, canoeing, canyoning, mountain biking, clay pigeon shooting, quad biking, river fishing and horse riding.

Bridge swinging, segwaying and ascending Scotland’s third highest waterfall are also available near Fort William and Glencoe.

After an action packed day, Belmond Royal Scotsman offers levels of comfort and luxury akin to that of a country house.

Personal cabin stewards ensure flawless service throughout the journey and guests are promised a good night’s sleep in beautifully appointed Edwardian-style en-suite cabins.

Dining takes place in two wood-panelled restaurant cars ‘Raven’ and ‘Swift’ where expertly crafted flavoursome Scottish fare is served.

The fun continues after dinner in the Observation Car – the train’s social epicentre where guests enjoy live entertainment and can choose from over 50 varieties of whisky before heading for bed.

All sporting activities and day excursions are arranged to work around the requirements of each group and itineraries can be prepared to include down time, authentic music performances and entertainment on board, plus private visits to famous estates, castles, clans and whisky distilleries.
