Virgin Australia to Launch Perth - Abu Dhabi Flights

Virgin Australia is to launch flights between Perth, Australia and Abu Dhabi, the capital of the UAE, from June 2017.

The new service will operate on Virgin Australias A330-200 aircraft, in partnership with Etihad Airways, and will provide direct connections to Etihads network which includes 23 European destinations, 15 Middle East destinations and 10 African destinations.

Virgin Australias announcement today is great news for Western Australians, and people wanting to visit our great State, said Kevin Brown, Chief Executive Officer, Perth Airport. This new direct service offers greater choice when travelling to Abu Dhabi, either as a final destination or for onward travel to Europe, the Americas and Africa.

The new service will depart Perth every Tuesday, Friday and Sunday at 23:05 arriving into Abu Dhabi at 06:35.

The return service will depart Abu Dhabi every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday at 08:20 arriving into Perth at 23:25.

The close proximity of Terminal 2 (Regional), Terminal 1 (Domestic) and Terminal 1 (International) at Perth Airport allows Virgin Australia passengers to transfer seamlessly between regional, domestic and international services in the one convenient location, under one roof making transfers the easiest they have ever been, said Mr Brown.
