Six Senses Yao Noi in Thailand Appoints Conny Andersson as Executive Chef

Conny Andersson has been appointed as Executive Chef of the Six Senses Yao Noi in Thailand.

Conny will oversee the food and beverage operations at the 56-pool villas resort.

Conny is no stranger to Six Senses family and has been the Executive Chef for Six Senses Qing Cheng Mountain which is located at the gateway to the majestic Qing Cheng Mountains in China.

Chef Conny has spent his last five years working in China, Vietnam and Malaysia, at renowned kitchens of the MGM Grand and The Datai. He directed a wide spectrum of cuisines that included Cantonese, Vietnamese, Asian Eclectic, Japanese, Thai, Indian and Malay in addition to traditional international Western.

Prior to that, he worked in Barbados as well as California, where he was chef and managing partner at a California - Scandinavian gastro wine bar and restaurant, named one of the Top Three New Restaurants by the Los Angeles Times.

Chef Connys international career took off after he relocated to the United States from his native Gothenburg in Sweden. After a period as chef de partie at LOrangerie in Los Angeles, which was voted as a Top Three Restaurant in the United States, he joined Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts and spent the next 18 years in Nevis, West Indies; Bali, Indonesia; Cairo, Egypt and the famed Beverly Wilshire in Beverly Hills, California.

Chef Conny has co-written a cookbook with Actor Morgan Freeman and he has cooked on the Oprah Winfrey Show, The View and The Today show in the United States. Twice he has been a guest chef with Crystal Cruises and was voted Chef Of The Year by Club Culinaire of French Cuisine Los Angeles.

The resorts four dining outlets will focus on sustainable and organic approach with a food concept that is based on casual, healthy food using responsible ingredients and produce from its own organic gardens.

Executive Chef Conny Andersson said, There are more and more people, who go organic and want to become educated about food and their health. The resort offers the ideal platform to educate guests accordingly and to help them to reconnect with themselves, others and the world around them.
