SEKO Logistics has earned a place on the Joint
Supply Chain Accreditation Register (JOSCAR), which enables
companies in the aviation, aerospace, defence and security & space
sectors to identify qualified suppliers.
The register holds common supplier data in
a central system that can be accessed by all participating buying organisations, saving time, cost and resources.
For SEKO Logistics, the accreditation
reduces the processes associated with pre-qualification, assurance
and ongoing compliance, and will provide easier access to business
opportunities.
Dean Townsend, Director of SEKO Logistics, said:
“Since the opening of our UK Centre of Excellence for the Aviation
& Aerospace and Defence sectors, we’ve been able to deliver supply
chain improvements and unparalleled cost savings to a growing
number of companies. This includes giving them end-to-end supply
chain visibility and empowerment through analysis and business
intelligence tools. JOSCAR accreditation means we already have the
trust and confidence of companies in these sectors and,
ultimately, this means we can implement our unique solutions for
customers even faster.”
In parallel to JOSCAR, SEKO established
its first UK Centre of Excellence for the aviation, aerospace,
defence and security sectors earlier this year, providing clients
with access to freight forwarding, logistics, SaaS
(Software-as-a-Service) and global trade management solutions.
The aerospace, defence, security and space
sectors currently generate over £50 billion of revenue a year for
the UK economy.
