Westcorp, an owner and manager of revenue producing real estate in Canada, is to implement interactive self service check-in technology from Ariane Systems at two of its Alberta-based properties.

Ariane's self service kiosks will be installed at the Bonnyville Neighborhood Inn and the Bonnyhood Neighbourhood Inn Express.

The Neighbourhood Inn and Neighbourhood Inn Express are located within one city block of one another and share a single front desk for both check-in and check-out purposes.

Prior to the Ariane check-in solution, Neighbourhood Inn Express guests were required to first visit and check-in at the Neighbourhood Inn, and then walk to the second property to gain access to their rooms. The Ariane kiosks will provide an alternative that allows for direct check-in at the Neighbourhood Inn Express, providing maximum convenience and saving time for guests.

"With guests becoming more and more accustomed to the convenience of self-service in the travel experience, we are finding that guests prefer the quicker and more independent service," said Hans Von Bloedau, Vice President of Hotels at Westcorp. "By implementing Ariane's interactive kiosks at our Neighbourhood Inn Express location, guests will be given another option that circumvents the need to wait in line at the front desk; one that suits their own individual preferences."

A solution that integrates seamlessly with technology from other vendors, Ariane Systems kiosks utilize an intuitive, customizable interface. The entire process from entering a reservation number to obtaining a room keycard typically takes less than a minute from start to finish, and includes the ability for guests to pay with a credit card at the terminal. Upon checking-out, guests simply review folios and settle any incidental costs, receiving their invoice immediately.

The kiosks are scheduled for installation in mid-July 2015.
