Air Astana HD Video Interview with President and CEO - Peter Foster, OBE

[HD video below] Exclusive HD video interview with the CEO and President of Air Astana - Mr. Peter Foster, OBE.

In this interview, filmed in Mr. Foster's office in Almaty on 24 June 2015, we discuss what it was like for Mr. Foster to visit Buckingham Palace in London to pick up an OBE, and how receiving such an honour makes him feel.

As we move onto the airline and its plans for the future, you will learn what route changes the airline has planned, how the Hong Kong sector is going to change and what plans the airline has for Japan and mainland China as well as South Korea.

You will learn why Mr. Foster feels that the Bangkok route has been so successful for the airline, and what potential the Asia Pacific region has for inbound tourism to Kazakhstan.

We discuss the two hubs of Almaty and Astana in Kazakhstan and learn how the two will develop. Visa facilitation is important to any country's tourism growth and two years ago Kazakhstan allowed nationals from more countries to enter without obtaining a visa beforehand.

Air Astana made a major announcement at the recent Paris Air Show and also has plans to acquire the Boeing Dreamliner. We discuss these new aircraft and ask about their interiors and routes that Air Astana plans to operate them on.

Mr. Foster talks about low cost airlines and we ask whether Air Astana has any plans to launch a low cost carrier. We also talk about what threat high speed rail poses to the airline, and whether Air Astana has any plans to join an airline alliance. All this and much, much more in the HD video interview below.
