Scoot Enhances Travel Experience with New Services

Scoot has launched a range of enhancements to the different services it offers.

These enhancements include inflight Wi-Fi, revamped ScootBiz, upgraded ScooTV so that it streams to personal devices, Web Check-in and Scoot-to-Gate to beat airport queues, airport transfer bookings, as well as PlusPerks to earn KrisFlyer miles.

“Scoot strives to deliver exceptional value, superb choices and service with Scootitude to our guests, and we are pleased to unveil our latest ScootBiz and ScooTV enhancements, airport transfer options, along with our new Web Check-in and Scoot-to-Gate service that aim to delight at every point of the guest journey,” said Steven Greenway, Scoot Head of Commercial. “Our latest initiatives transform the low-cost travel experience for guests, enabling them to enjoy a wider range of customisation options as they continue to benefit from great value airfares.”

ScootBiz passengers get a full-leather cradle seat with a 38" (96cm) seat pitch, 22" (56cm) width, 8" (20cm) recline and fully adjustable headrests and legrests.

With the newly enhanced ScootBiz, passengers can now enjoy even more benefits including:

• 30kg of check-in baggage (up from 20kg);

• Two pieces of cabin baggage up to 15kg;

• Hot, light or premium meal with one drink of choice;

• ScooTV inflight entertainment streaming to personal devices (where available);

• In-seat power;

• Priority check-in and boarding;

• Priority disembarkation (where available).

Inflight Connectivity and Entertainment

Passengers who wish to access emails, social networking or simply surf the internet during their flight will be able to do so with Scoot’s inflight connectivity. Available in three timed sessions – one hour costs US$11.95, three hours is US$16.95 or 24 hoursis US$21.95. Scoot’s inflight Wi-Fi can be purchased before and on-board the flight, with no data usage limit within each session.

For entertainment junkies, ScooTV has also been improved. Scoot’s re-launched streaming inflight entertainment service delivers Hollywood and Asian movies, popular TV series and treats for kids onto guests’ personal devices including mobile phones. ScooTV is complimentary for ScootBiz passengers and available at an all-in price of US$11 for others, with access lasting the entire duration of a flight sector.

Web Check-in and Scoot-to-Gate

Scoot passengers departing from Singapore are now eligible for Web Check-in. Passengers who have completed Web Check-in with no check-in baggage or document check requirements may also be eligible for Scoot-to-Gate, which allows them bypass airport counters and head straight to departure immigration and onward to the boarding gate.

Passengers can now also add on ground transfer options to their itineraries, complementing Scoot’s accommodation options.

Airport transfers, hotel bookings and insurance purchase are available within the “Manage My Booking” function, which can be accessed even by guests on the go through the Scoot mobile app.

Scoot’s newly introduced PlusPerks bundle enables passengers to earn KrisFlyer miles on eligible fares, enjoy preferred seat selection (including extra legroom where available), access priority check-in and boarding privileges, and even make one flight or name change with change fees waived.

The bundle is available at an all-in-one price of Sin$39 and Sin$59 per passenger per flight for short and long haul flights respectively. KrisFlyer members can also redeem Scoot flights with their frequent flyer miles.
