Ascott Appoints DOSM - Thailand

Ascott has appointed Ms Christina H Bartz as Director of Sales and Marketing for its Thailand properties.

Ms Bartz has garnered her wealth of knowledge and experience in sales and marketing with leading hospitality and tourism companies in the Asia region, including Renaissance Hotels & Resorts in Hong Kong, Malaysia and Japan, Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group and Marco Polo Hotels in Hong Kong.

Prior to joining Ascott, Ms Bartz held the position of Vice President Sales and Marketing with Moevenpick Hotels & Resorts in Thailand.

Originally from Germany, Ms Bartz holds a degree from the German Chamber of Industry and Commerce and two diplomas from hotel schools Hotelfachschule D. Speiser in Tegernsee, Germany and the Ecole Hoteliere et de Langues, Leysin in Switzerland.

In Thailand, Ascott currently operates more than 1,700 apartment units across nine properties in prime locations in Bangkok. The properties are Ascott Sathorn, Citadines Sukhumvit 8, Citadines Sukhumvit 11, Citadines Sukhumvit 16, Citadines Sukhumvit 23, Somerset Lake Point, Somerset Park Suanplu, Somerset Sukhumvit Thonglor and Vic3.

Ascott is also expanding its presence to Thailands Eastern Seaboard economic region having signed a contract to manage the new Citadines Grand Central Sri Racha, Chonburi province scheduled to open in late 2014.
