Shangri-La Sanya Installs Three Tesla Charging Stations

Shangri-La’s Sanya Resort & Spa, Hainan has installed three Tesla destination charging stations.

Guests who drive to the resort can now use the complimentary chargers and avail the special benefits of the resort.

An hour of charging at a destination charging station will support up to 100 kilometres of driving.

“We are proud to be at the forefront of this environmentally responsible initiative and we will continue to invest efforts towards making a greener community. This is just the first step of many that we plan on doing to do our part in leaving a green footprint,” said Dexter Cheng, the resort’s General Manager.

Shangri-La’s Sanya Resort & Spa, Hainan is also one of the first resorts in Sanya to use a paperless check-in and check-out system.

The resort participates in other group-wide eco-friendly initiatives too, including active recycling, using biodegradable packaging for all of its toiletries and using environmentally friendly supply chains for printing and new high-tech energy-saving resources in the Housekeeping and Engineering Departments.
