Hong Kong Tramways has been awarded a 2014 Certificate of Excellence from TripAdvisor.

HKT has been serving the community since 1904 and today carries 200,000 passengers daily between the east and west of Hong Kong Island.

The company owns and operates a fleet of 163 tramcars, including 2 antique trams. It is the world's largest fleet of double-deck trams still in service.

Besides normal tram rides along the historical route of the island, passengers can also hire the antique trams to enjoy riding on vintage open-top “Ding-Ding” tramcars to explore Hong Kong with a 360-degree panoramic view.

“Hong Kong Tramways is honoured and privileged to receive the 2014 TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence as it definitely marks the 110th anniversary of HKT this year. We will continue providing excellent travel experience to residents and international visitors to enjoy the vibrant living culture as well as the cosmopolitan lifestyle of Hong Kong,” said Mr Emmanuel Vivant, Managing Director of HKT. “As a responsible public transport operator, HKT will continue to provide exceptional tram service and keep exploring opportunities to provide diversified services outside Hong Kong Island and feasible alternative for the general public and tourists.”
