GKN Aerospace Wins AirAsia Contract

GKN Aerospace has been selected by AirAsia to supply the complete suite of cockpit transparencies for the airlines new A320 fleet.

Providing AirAsia with a combination of the high performance glass front windshields and light weight acrylic side windows, this suite of transparencies offers A320 operators such as AirAsia both in-service weight savings and fleet performance improvements.

Manufacturing of transparencies for this US$ multi-million contract is taking place at the companys specialist facilities in Luton and Kings Norton, UK, with deliveries already underway to AirAsia.
