The Viper Challenge, a gruelling obstacle event, will take place in Malaysia in August 2013.

A 20km Challenge Course with more than 20 man-made obstacles that will challenge both the heart and spirit, the Viper Challenge is not a race, but a personal challenge where participants will aspire to complete every obstacle successfully in their quest to make it to the finish line.

The event, set to launch in Malaysia at the renowned Sepang International Circuit on 17-18 August 2013, is supported by Tourism Malaysia.

Designed to take participants out of their comfort zone, it is organised by Original Bootcamp, the region’s first bootcamp organiser.

Selva Kumar, Director of Original Bootcamp Sdn Bhd, said, “The Bootcamp craze has really grown in the region since we launched it four years ago, and the Viper Challenge is a more extreme version of that.  We wanted to set up a challenge in this region that would blow people’s minds, and we think that we’ve got the right model. With lots of challenges and never-ending obstacles, the Viper Challenge is Asia’s largest endurance test that will challenge both heart and spirit.”

The obstacles have been carefully designed and will be built by a team of 12 local craftsmen led by Director of Obstacle Designs, Ben Young, a qualified specialist from Australia.

“The Viper Challenge is set to be one of the most gruelling physical challenges in Asia. To truly challenge participants, we were looking to design obstacles that put challengers to the test, and require them to combine brains, brawn and pure fitness. We’ve developed more than 20 obstacles built with timber and natural terrain, and believe that challengers will really enjoy this experience,” said Young.

Those interesting in taking part in the Viper Challenge should sign-up before 1 August 2013.
