Mr. Ian McKie has been appointed as General
Manager of the Gulf Hotel Bahrain and Area General Manager.
Mr. McKie will be carrying out the duties of the
General Manager of the Gulf Hotel, overseeing all areas of
operation in the Hotel, in addition to monitoring the management
of the Gulf Hotel Groups properties, including the Ocean Paradise
Resort in Zanzibar, The K Hotel and Amwaj Waves Hotel Apartments
in Bahrain, as part of his role as Area General Manager.
Mr. McKies vast experience includes over 27
years of managerial experience in hotels in the Far East and Asia,
with over 10 years spent as General Manager of different hotels in
Indonesia, Malaysia, China, Hong Kong, and Thailand. Prior to that Mr. McKie gained extensive experience in Food and Beverage
administrations, having worked in five-star chain hotels such
Banyan Tree, Hyatt, and InterContinental.
Mr. McKie also holds a
Higher National Diploma in Hotel and Catering Administration from
Portsmouth Polytechnic in the UK.
Gulf Hotels Groups Chief Executive Officer Mr.

hotel and has developed a solid reputation over the years for
providing our guests with exceptional service. Gulf Hotels Group
has recently announced several new plans for expansion, including
the introduction of the brand new Amwaj Waves Hotel Apartments and
the development of a spa facility at the Gulf Hotel.
The Gulf Hotel has also
recently introduced Hawar Meeting Rooms, which are five brand new
executive meeting rooms. This has increased the number of venues
available in the Gulf Convention Centre to 27 venues. The new
meeting rooms are equipped with state-of-the-art technology,
elegantly furnished, and located on the private floor.
The Gulf
Hotel will also soon be opening a brand new patisserie Caf Delices, and construction work has already commenced on the
hotels new laundry facility project. Planning work is also
underway for the construction of a 2500 square meter spa facility.
