GM Appointments @ Mandarin Oriental Hotels in Asia

Mandarin Oriental has made the following six internal General Manager appointments at its hotels in Taipei, Singapore, Tokyo, Hong Kong, Chiang Mai and Jakarta:

Paul Jones has been appointed General Manager of Mandarin Oriental, Taipei with effect from 17 September 2012. With more than 26 years of experience in the hospitality industry, Mr Jones embarked on his career with Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group in 2005 as Hotel Manager of Mandarin Oriental, Bangkok. Since 2008, he has been General Manager of Mandarin Oriental, Singapore and during his tenure, has overseen the successful execution of a number of important renovations.

With effect from 10 September 2012, Christian Hassing will succeed Paul Jones as General Manager of Mandarin Oriental, Singapore and in support of the groups growth in the Asia region, he will also take up the appointment of Area Vice President, Operations with responsibilities for Mandarin Oriental, Kuala Lumpur and Mandarin Oriental, Jakarta.

Mr Hassing has more than 35 years in the hospitality industry. He began his career with Mandarin Oriental as the opening General Manager for Mandarin Oriental, Kuala Lumpur in 1997, where he was responsible for positioning the property as the citys premier hotel. For the past eight years he has been General Manager of Mandarin Oriental, Tokyo, overseeing the successful opening and establishment of this award-winning luxury hotel.

Anthony Costa will succeed Christian Hassing as General Manager of Mandarin Oriental, Tokyo with effect from 3 September. Mr Costa began his career with Mandarin Oriental as Resident Manager of Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong in January 2007. He has been General Manager of The Landmark Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong since June 2007.

Greg Liddell will succeed Anthony Costa as General Manager of The Landmark Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong with effect from 27 August, 2012. Mr Liddell joined Mandarin Oriental in 2009 as General Manager of Mandarin Oriental Dhara Dhevi, Chiang Mai, one of the very best hotels in Asia.

Andrew Abram will succeed Greg Liddell as General Manager of Mandarin Oriental Dhara Dhevi, Chiang Mai with effect from 24 August 2012. Mr Abram began his career with Mandarin Oriental in 2003 as Resident Manager of The Excelsior, Hong Kong, before being appointed General Manager of Mandarin Oriental, Jakarta in 2004. Andrew has overseen the closure and total renovation of this hotel, prior to its successful re-launch in 2009.

Finally, Mark Bradford, who is currently General Manager of Mandarin Oriental, Manila, will succeed Andrew Abram as General Manager of Mandarin Oriental, Jakarta with effect from 17 September 2012. Mark embarked on his career with Mandarin Oriental in 2001 as Hotel Manager of Mandarin Oriental, Bangkok, and was appointed General Manager of Mandarin Oriental Dhara Dhevi, Chiang Mai in 2005. He moved to Manila in 2009.
