Four Seasons Hotel Bangkok Organising Cancer Care Charity Fun Run

For the past 15 years, the Four Seasons Hotel Bangkok has committed to hold a charity run to raise funds for cancer research in conjunction with its sister properties in Chiang Mai and Samui.

Last year’s run raised a total of 3.9 million Baht which was donated to the ‘Genetic Cancer Research Centre’ at Chulalongkorn Hospital under the auspices of The Thai Red Cross Society.

The organizing committee of ‘Cancer Care’ at the Four Seasons Hotel Bangkok is now organizing the fifth ‘Cancer Care’ charity fun run, referred to as Terry Fox Run a few years ago, in Lumpini Park for Saturday, 12 May 2012 in association with the Thai Red Cross Society with the support of the Canadian Embassy as well as major sponsors and media partners.

Proceeds from the run will go towards the research projects currently conducted by the ‘Hematological Cancer Research Centre’ at Chulalongkorn Hospital.

Beginning and ending inside Lumpini Park, the run promises to be a fun and enjoyable Saturday outing for families, joggers and health enthusiasts of all ages. Both the 5 km and 10 km routes are perfect for running and walking. Families with young children as well as the elderly are welcome to participate.

Various activities are also lined up for all kids at the run with prizes awaiting them. To add more fun and excitement to the run, a Queen’s trophy will be awarded to the largest group, while prizes await the participants who reach the finish line for the 5 km and 10 km runners. Registration is from 7:00 am to 7:45 am and the official starting time is at 8:05 am.

All are invited to participate in the run with a minimum donation of Baht 350 representing the cost of an official ‘Cancer Care’ t-shirt or Baht 500 representing the cost of an official ‘Cancer Care’ polo shirt which also includes a breakfast box and the chance to win exciting prizes such as accommodation vouchers at various Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts and many others.
