Air Astana Increases Flights Between Tbilisi and Almaty

[HD video below] Air Astana has launched a fourth weekly flight between Tbilisi and Almaty.

The additional service will operate on Tuesdays with 97-seat Embraer 190 aircraft.

The airline first launched direct services between Tbilisi and Almaty on 2 June 2011, flying on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays. Since the flights were launched, Air Astana transported over 20.000 passengers.

"Passengers travelling from Georgia can discover the beauty of Zaililiskiy Alatau, the endless steppe and the unique lakes of Kazakhstan. Moreover, Air Astana offers convenient flight connections via Almaty to Bishkek, Delhi, Bangkok, Urumchi, Beijing, Kuala Lumpur and soon to Hong Kong."

The cost of an Economy Class return ticket from Tbilisi to Almaty starts from 266 Euros, including all airport taxes and other fees. Business Class tickets start from 631 Euros.

The flight duration from Tbilisi to Almaty is 3 hours and 35 minutes, while between Almaty and Tbilisi it takes 4 hours and 10 minutes.
