Russia Wins Miss Tourism World 2012

The Grand Finals of Miss Tourism World 2012 took place at Siam Niramit Theatre in Bangkok, Thailand, on Sunday, 16 December 2012.

Being held for the first ever time in Asia, the event attracted contestants from 58 countries around the world.

 The title of “Miss Tourism World 2012 Grand Final” was won by Miss Tatyana Maksimova, 23, from Russia.

The 1st runner up was Miss Tourism India, Miss Purvaa Rana.

Miss Nadine Abdel Aziz, Miss Tourism Lebanon, won the 2nd runner up.

Miss Sasima Surasabbmanee from Thailand won Miss Press, and Miss Gulnara Birzhanova from Kazakhstan won Miss Photogenic of this contest.

The winner of Miss Tourism World 2012 receives a Diamond tiara, the winner’s sash and rewards valued at more than one million five hundred thousand Baht.

The winner of Miss Tourism World 2012 will serve as goodwill ambassador and spokesperson for the Tourism World Organisation and work with the organization in promoting tourism around the world.

The event was hosted almost entirely in English by Ms. Liza Sadler and Mr. Pat Jungkankul, and was broadcast on Channel 7 and relayed by satellite to a global audience in more than 50 countries via broadcasters such as Fashion TV, Star World, E Entertainment and Sky TV.
