Travel News Asia Latest Travel News Podcasts Videos Thursday, 16 February 2012

Best Western International is continuing its rapid expansion in Thailand with the signing of a brand new hotel in Chaengwattana on the outskirts of Bangkok.

Opening in 2014, this modern, midscale Best Western property will take its place among a surge of modern infrastructure currently rising in Chaengwattana, including international condominiums and world-class shopping malls such as the expansive Central Chaengwattana.

The area is also close to government office buildings and the IMPACT Arena Muangthong Thani.

In addition, Chaengwattana will soon be connected to Bangkok’s BTS Skytrain network, offering direct access to the city’s main commercial districts.

“I am extremely excited to be expanding our portfolio to this fast-growing area of Bangkok,” said Glenn de Souza, Best Western International’s Vice President International Operations – Asia & the Middle East. “This new Best Western hotel will offer international-standard facilities to the increasing number domestic and international travellers visiting this dynamic area. We have huge faith in the future of Chaengwattana, Bangkok and Thailand as a whole, and I have no doubt the hotel will be an enormous success.”

The Best Western at Chaengwattana will feature 188 guestrooms and a range of facilities, including a swimming pool, fitness centre and all-day dining restaurant.

The hotel also aims to be a hub for conferences and events, with six meeting rooms and three banqueting halls.
