Executive Appointments @ Marco Polo Changzhou

Marco Polo Hotels has made the following appointments at the soon-to-open Marco Polo Changzhou.

Michael Gnaegi has been appointed General Manager.

Michael is an experienced hotel operator and has held several senior management positions at Kempinski Hotel Group. He joined Marco Polo Hotels in 2010 as Hotel Manager of the Gateway Hotel, Hong Kong and in his newly promoted post as General Manager of the Marco Polo Changzhou he will oversee the pre-opening activities of the groups 7th hotel in China. Prior to joining Marco Polo Hotels, he was the Hotel Manager of Kempinski Hotel Baltschug Moscow in Russia.

Jerry Chang has been appointed Project Financial Controller.

A Chinese national, Jerry is a seasoned hotel financial executive and she has worked with a number of Shangri-La hotels in China since 1996. Prior to joining Marco Polo Changzhou, she was the Financial Controller of Shangri-La Changchun.

Andy Zheng has been appointed Director of Human Resources.

Andy has almost 16 years of working experience with various luxury international hotels, mainly involved in the pre-opening projects and Human Resources management. Prior to joining the Marco Polo Changzhou, he held the same position with the Marco Polo Jinjiang, the groups 5th hotel in China.

Owned and managed by Marco Polo Hotels, Marco Polo Changzhou is situated approximately 15 minutes from the heart of Changzhou adjacent to the China Dinosaur Park. The hotel comprises of 275 suites and guest rooms, a 31 Suite State Guest House, restaurants as well as banquet and meeting rooms. A 110 Serviced Apartment will compliment the hotel.
