Timo Kousa to Head Finnair Travel Retail

Timo Kousa has been appointed CEO of Finnair Travel Retail Oy as of 12 September 2012.

Kousa previously founded and lead the Five Eyes Beverage Group Ab, a Nordic Travel Retail company. He has an extensive, 20 year experience in leadership positions in various companies in the alcohol industry in Eastern, Central and Northern Europe as well as in Nordic travel retail operators.

Magnus Hannukainen, who was previously responsible for the Travel Retail business, has left the company on his own initiative.

“It is great to have the opportunity to further develop Finnair’s already versatile travel retail business and build Finnair’s future with very talented personnel. I see a lot of new opportunities in Finnair Travel Retail and we will do our utmost to realise Finnair’s vision,”, said Timo Kousa.

Finnair Travel Retail Oy is part of Finnair Group, and it is responsible for Finnair’s tax free sales at airports and onboard the aircraft.

Finnair Travel Retail also takes care of the food and beverage sales on Finnair and other airlines’ flights.

The company has approximately 100 employees.
