Mandarin Oriental Macau Launches Fireworks Promotion

In September and October 2011, the Mandarin Oriental Macau is offering visitors and residents a Champagne Fireworks Celebration, that allows an up-close view of the light and sounds that will fill the air during the exhilarating 23rd Macau International Fireworks Display Contest.

Guests will be able to enjoy a seafood tower and champagne in the comfort of a guestroom or suite, set against this magnificent backdrop.

The Macau International Fireworks Display Contest has grown over the years into an internationally acclaimed event. Since 1989, this annual contest has been staged to celebrate the historical significance of Macau’s firecracker industry, with over 100 teams from around the world taking part.

This year, participants from Austria, Canada, China, France, Japan, Portugal, the UK and more will compete to win the competition.

Mandarin Oriental, Macau’s Champagne Fireworks Celebration is available on 10, 12, 17, 24 September and 1 October 2011. Prices start at HK$3,988 per night for two persons and includes:

• One night’s accommodation in a guestroom or suite with a panoramic view
• A special Fireworks Seafood Tower served in the room
• A bottle of champagne
• Buffet breakfast for two in Vida Rica Restaurant
