StarHub Launches Preferred Tourist Prepaid Card

StarHub has launched a Preferred Tourist Prepaid Card, allowing visitors to enjoy tourist benefits and stay connected through voice calls, SMS, and the internet.

For Sin$15 visitors will enjoy free data access on the Singapore Tourism Board’s YourSingapore Guide mobile application, additional free 30MB of local data access for their internet surfing needs, free IDD 018 Calls to 18 destinations to call back home, 20 free local SMS and per second billing.

YourSingapore Guide is a free mobile application that hosts useful information about Singapore. Tourists can use this application to navigate around the island with useful route suggestions, travel fare estimates and maps, as well as gain access to over 1,000 ways to enjoy Singapore’s sights and sounds.

Currently, YourSingapore Guide is supported on iPhone and Android smartphones, and will be available on other smartphone platforms later.

In addition, customers can also look forward to exclusive merchant privileges such as 1 for 1 Singapore Sling at St James Powerstation, Discounts off Kaya & Coffee powder gift sets at Toast Box and GoSingapore Pass for special packages to places of interests in Singapore.

The Preferred Tourist Prepaid Card is available in both regular and microSIM formats. It can be conveniently purchased at UOB Foreign Exchange Counters at Changi Airport, TravelMania at Orchard MRT, StarHub shops and selected exclusive partner outlets.

Available in Q4 2011, StarHub’s tourist WiFi will allow tourists to enjoy free wireless surfing in Changi Airport and selected hotspots throughout town.

Customers can top up the card via the Internet top-up, all existing StarHub Prepaid Top-up cards, and Electronic top-up via the ATMs (DBS/POSB), AXS stations, and SingPost SAMs.
