Hong Kong Rugby Sevens 2011 Fixtures and Results

Travel News Asia Latest Travel News Podcasts Videos updated: Sunday, 27 March 2011

The weather in Hong Kong this Friday could not be better for the kick off the 2011 Hong Kong Rugby Sevens.

Not hot, nor humid, the temperature is around 15 degrees, which should suit some of the European teams a little more than those from sunnier climes.

But it does not matter where the team originates from, nor what temperatures they are used to playing in, because once that first whistle goes at 16:30 this afternoon, the temperature in the stadium and on the pitch will continue to raise all the way through to what is normally a truly thrilling final on Sunday.

Regarded by many as one of the greatest sporting weekends in the world, and quite possibly the best Sevens party on earth, it matters little that there will be a fair few who awake on Monday not knowing who actually won. For while the Hong Kong Sevens guarantees a showcase of world-class rugby action, it is also about camaraderie, networking, and just having fun, whether it be in the stadium or at one of the many excellent bars in Wanchai, Lan Kwai Fong or possibly Knutsford Terrace.

On this page you will be able to monitor the results and fixtures from the Hong Kong Sevens. We will also have some live text commentary from some of the games as well as some HD videos and interviews from a few of the fans. And remember, the Hong Kong Sevens: It's Not Just Rugby!
