Following an extensive five-month, and US$6 million renovation and refurbishment, the Boathouse Resort on the Beach in Phuket is celebrating its recent re-opening with a special launch promotion of 5 nights for the price of 4, including breakfast daily and dinner on the first night.

The resort formerly known as Mom Tris Boathouse has been a treasured landmark on Phuket's Kata Beach for decades.

While treasuring its historic past, the Boathouse Resort on the Beach now offers extended family suites, a two-bedroom beachfront Penthouse Suite, a rooftop Sunset Lounge, a new Re Ka Ta Beach Club, an holistic spa and a large boutique with a gourmet caf.

Boathouse Wine and Grill

The multiple award-winning Boathouse Wine and Grill has been totally refurbished, with several new additions. These include a new show kitchen where guests can see the team in action as they prepare delicious French and Thai cuisine.

Master Chef Jean-Noel Lumineau is one of only 300 Master Chefs in the World from the highly distinguished French Association of Master Chefs - Maitre-Cuisinier de France - and the only one in Thailand. After being a guest chef at Mom Tris in 2008, he then permanently moved to Thailand and has been at the restaurant ever since.

The spacious new Wine Cellar proudly displays 800 labels and is managed by Wine Director George Ciret. The resort has won numerous Wine Spectator and Restaurant Awards since 1995, and was the first winner of the Wine Spectators Best of Award of Excellence in Thailand in 2006.

Rates start from Baht 9,600 (US$ 312) per night, plus service charge and applicable government taxes.

Boathouse Resort on the Beach is now owned by Montara Hospitality Holdings which also owns the luxurious award-winning Trisara Phuket.
