Brett Wilson Joins Anantara Bangkok Sathorn as General Manager

Brett Wilson has been appointed as General Manager of the new Anantara Bangkok Sathorn, the company’s first Bangkok hotel, due to open in February 2011.

Mr. Wilson started his career in the hotel industry with the Southern Pacific Hotel Corporation (SPHC) – one of the leading hotel groups of the Pacific Rim. He went on to secure a General Manager position very early on in his career when he joined the Rydges Hotel Group, which included a string of incredible achievements catapulting him through 13 years of notable promotions. Wilson’s career with Rydges Hotels & Resorts culminated in an Area General Manager for New South Wales role with responsibility for six hotels in the boutique brand.

His career path saw him move on to manage properties for InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) where Wilson was appointed General Manager of Crowne Plaza, Queenstown. Wilson moved with IHG to spearhead the launch of the new Holiday Inn Male – IHG’s first Maldivian property and the first international hotel in the Maldivian capital, before being duly appointed General Manager of the Crowne Plaza Beijing.
