Expedia has added AirAsia flights and packages to its Malaysian website.

“As the world’s largest online travel company, we love bringing Malaysia’s travellers the best value deals through our dynamic packages. With this partnership, we are now the only 3rd party online travel agency in Malaysia offering all AirAsia and AirAsia X flights to over 75 destinations worldwide,” said Dan Lynn, CEO of Expedia Asia.

Expedia.com.my has been designed for Malaysian travellers and offers an extensive portfolio of over 140,000 hotels worldwide, along with fully localized services such as targeted deals and a Bahasa Melayu version of the site.

Dato’ Sri Dr. Tony Fernandes, Group CEO, AirAsia, said, “This is a huge partnership between AirAsia, the world’s best low cost airline and Expedia, the world’s largest online travel company. This will benefit travellers tremendously as this synergy paves the way to focused services suiting local markets, providing more convenience and enhanced access to our low fares and holiday packages. As an exclusive online travel partner for AirAsia, Expedia will provide travellers with access to our great deals and any of AirAsia inventory on any of Expedia’s travel sites worldwide.”

To celebrate the full-service launch, Expedia.com.my is offering a ‘Red Hot’ AirAsia flight and accommodation promotion which includes a free night stay for every two nights booked at 49 hotels across the region. The promotion is valid until end of October and travellers need to book online at expedia.com.my by 7 September 2011. Terms and conditions apply.
