The 366-room Renaissance Moscow Monarch Centre has opened under a franchise agreement with Interstate Hotels & Resorts. The hotel, the second Renaissance located in Moscow, offers some of the city’s largest single area conference and convention facilities.

This hotel is the 34th Renaissance Hotel in Europe and just one of the latest openings for Marriott International as it works towards its goal of doubling its presence in Europe by 2015. Three more Renaissance properties will open in Europe in London, Amsterdam and Budapest by 2012.

Located in the heart of Moscow’s commercial district and in close proximity to the city’s EXPO center, the Renaissance Moscow Monarch Centre is ideally situated for business and group travelers. The hotel is part of a mixed-use development including a four level shopping mall.

In addition to the guestrooms, the Renaissance also features 40 extended-stay suites. Guestrooms feature rich, dark wood and warm color accents as well as the latest in technology with flat screen televisions and high-speed internet access. The extended-stay suites offer additional living space, kitchenette, refrigerators, dishwasher and cook top.

The hotel’s bi-level executive lounge offers sweeping panoramic views of Moscow and a terrace where travelers can enjoy a cocktail on a warm summer day.

Authentic culinary delights are offered at the hotel’s all-day restaurant Mozaic which features a mix of international and Russian specialties including borsch and Sibirskaya Korona Classic beer. The Allegro Lobby Bar & Lounge features a wide selection of creative cocktails, loose teas and dining options. The hotel’s fine-dining restaurant Premier offers innovative fusion cuisine.

The meeting and event facilities of the Renaissance Moscow Monarch Centre are some of the largest in Moscow today. The Andreevsky ballroom features sparkling contemporary crystal chandeliers, making it a perfect location for any event. Twelve conference rooms with large pre-function spaces total 2500 square meters.

The hotel features an indoor swimming pool, state-of-the-art fitness facilities, as well as massage rooms and sauna.

In celebration of its opening, the Renaissance Moscow Monarch Centre is offering an introductory package for 6500 RUB (US$222) per night through 1 September 2010.
