Ms. Janine Watton has been appointed as Director
of Sales and Marketing at the Four Points by Sheraton Bangkok,
Sukhumvit 15, Starwood’s first Four Points by Sheraton property in
			  Thailand.
Watton will be responsible for maximizing
overall revenue and fostering relationships with the hotel’s
business, group and meetings clientele. The Four Points
by Sheraton is set to open in October 2010.
			  Watton most recently served as
director of sales and marketing at The Westin, Kuala Lumpur, where
she successfully converted hotel and brand objectives into
specific goals and action plans, as well as analyzed and
communicated business and financial data. Additionally, she led,
coached and developed the sales and marketing teams, all while
remaining adaptive and agile to lead the hotel through changing
			  market conditions.
			  Watton’s history working within the
Starwood sales and marketing organization, together with her broad
range of managerial experience, have provided her with an in-depth
knowledge of the M.I.C.E. and F.I.T. markets in both Australia and
Asia. Over her career, Watton has been successful in producing
anywhere from A$2 million to more than A$4.5 million for the
respective hotels where she has worked.
			  The
Australian native launched her career in sales and marketing in
1994 as a marketing coordinator at the Del Rio Resort and quickly
moved up through the ranks. Watton first successfully managed the
pre-opening duties of a sales executive when she joined the Sebel
			  Parramata in July of 2000.
“Janine is a great addition to our motivated
team at Four Points by Sheraton Bangkok, Sukhumvit 15,” said
General Manager Janet McNab. “With more than 17 years experience
in the hospitality business, 12 of them in sales and marketing
roles, Janine possesses the excellent communication and
interpersonal skills, as well as the motivation and knowledge, to
play a key role as we establish the Four Points by Sheraton brand
			  in Thailand.”
			  Slated to open in
October 2010, Four Points by Sheraton Bangkok is located along Sukhumvit Road, a
central destination in Bangkok renowned for its great shopping and
nightlife. The hotel offers 268 guest rooms and suites ranging
from 32 to 74 square meters with spacious garden terraces.
