The Princess dAnnam Resort and Spa on Ke Ga Bay is calling all fledgling and would-be kite surfers to experience its shores and winds in a novel, learn-to-kite surf package.

The package costs $1,295 for two surfers staying three nights, including accommodation and two three-hour sessions with an internationally qualified instructor.

Post-lesson, kite surfers can enjoy a 50-minute After Sun Cucumber Body Wrap in the resorts spa. And then: a Princess d'Annam bouillabaisse dinner on the resorts terrace. Both are included in the package price.

Surf Experience also covers a bottle of wine and fruit basket on arrival and fresh fruit and drinking water while learning to surf. Complimentary WiFi use across the resort is also included.

Jean-Philippe Beghin, general manager of the Princess dAnnam, believes the package will prove a hit with those wanting to mix exercise and activity with relaxation and luxury.

This is more than just a toe in the water for people who want to learn to kite surf, said Beghin. By the end of the second lesson, the new surfer will have the basics in place of a new and challenging hobby.

The Kite Surf Experience package was designed for people whove dreamed of getting out there but who lacked the wherewithal to get started in the sport. The first session begins with the basics of equipment and safety and ends with a third hour in the water. The next three-hour session is all in the water and will see guests, progressing on the basics of standing, surfing and turning.

From there, its just a matter of building experience, confidence and endurance, said Instructor Nguyen Thanh Trung.

Trung and his team also plan continuing education in wind sports for beginners who want to push on to intermediate waters, and intermediates who really want to push the envelope.

Single travelers can experience the new package for $925. Alternatively couples, with only one surfer, can also enjoy the package priced at $1055.

The Kite Surf Experience is inclusive of 5% government tax and a 5% service charge and is commissionable to bona fide travel agents.
