Ms Chutima Ruangritrawee has been appointed as General Manager of the Soneva Kiri by Six Senses.

Chutima initially joined the pre-opening team at Soneva Kiri in June 2007 as Resort Manager, ably steering the pre-opening operations and development. Soneva Kiri, in Thailand, opened in November 2009 and is Six Senses latest and arguably most amazing property to date.

With just 29 villas, hidden on the beach and amongst the lush, tropical jungle of Koh Kood, Thailand’s fourth largest but most unpopulated island, Soneva Kiri has one of the highest per-accommodation development costs of any resort in the world.

Khun Chutima began her career in hospitality in 1994 at Bangkok’s prestigious Four Seasons Hotel, she rose through the ranks to become Director of Catering & Conference Services and then Director of Food & Beverage.

In 2004, Khun Chutima relocated to Krabi in Thailand, as Executive Assistant Manager at the award-winning Rayavadee Resort and Spa. She was then promoted and relocated to the AKA Resort Hua Hin to fill the position of General Manager, where she also gained valuable experience in the complexities of pre-opening. She also contributed a short stint on Vatulele Island in Fiji, before focusing her full attention on getting Soneva Kiri unveiled to the world.

Chutima Ruangritrawee is located at Soneva Kiri by Six Senses, on the Thai island of Kood – a one-hour flight from Bangkok in the resort’s private airplane.
