GMG Airlines has launched twice weekly Dhaka –
Abu Dhabi (DAC-AUH) flights. Abu Dhabi represents the eighth
international destination for the Bangladeshi airline, established
in 1998.
Ajith Weerasekera, Chief Commercial Officer, GMG
Airlines, said, “The Dhaka–Abu Dhabi route is becoming
increasingly popular with businesses, students, families and
migrant workers, and we are confident that we will see strong
demand on the initial two frequencies we will be launching. In
fact, GMG Airlines is already assessing the opportunity to scale
up capacity once flights commence, by deploying the larger Boeing
767-300ER on this route.”
Ahmad Al Haddabi, Senior Vice President of
Airports Operations for Abu Dhabi Airports Company (ADAC) added,
“The addition of GMG Airlines to our roster of operators utilising
Terminal 2 further enhances Abu Dhabi International Airport’s
ability to serve the significant number of passengers travelling
between the UAE capital and the sub-continent; we look forward to
working closely with our latest airline partner.”
