The opening of the new Mass Rapid Transit Circle Line city leg has made accessibility to Suntec Singapore even more convenient.

Catering to some 200,000 commuters daily, the new subway line links Suntec Singapore and its vicinity to the suburbs through Esplanade Station, which is located right below the convention centre.

“Convenient access to Suntec Singapore is crucial as it will allow people from all over the island to access our venue and attend events held here with greater ease,” said Pieter Idenburg, CEO of Suntec Singapore.

Since its inception in 1995, visitors Suntec have had access to three major subway stations within a 10 minute walk. Additionally, Suntec Singapore, has major bus routes plying the area. It also offers ample parking spaces for private vehicles. Now with the opening of the Esplanade Station at its doorstep, and the Promenade Station merely a 5 minute walk away, Suntec Singapore is currently linked into the network of Singapore’s highly efficient metro system which offers affordable public transport access to its commuters.

The Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) in Singapore has won a host of awards and accolades since its inception in 1987. It was recently named “Best Metro Asia Pacific” and “Most Energy Efficient Metro” for the second year running at the prestigious international Metro Awards 2010.
