Darren Shaw appointed General Manager of Outrigger Laguna Phuket

Darren Shaw has been appointed as General Manager of the Outrigger Laguna Phuket Resort and Villas in Thailand.

In his new position, which became effective 1 February, 2010, Mr Shaw will be responsible for overseeing all operational matters at Phuket's newest luxury villa property, which opened 1 December 2009. Prior to his transfer to Thailand, Mr Shaw was General Manager Outrigger on the Lagoon Fiji.

Before joining Outrigger in 2006, Mr Shaw held senior executive positions at hotels in the Gold Coast, Ayers Rock and Surfers Paradise in Australia.

In addition to general manager and executive assistant manager hotel positions, Mr Shaw has also been an acquisitions facilitator, food and beverage manager, conference and banqueting operations manager.

Outrigger Laguna Phuket Resort and Villas offers 68 spacious two, three and four-bedroom villas close to Bang Tao beach in Phuket, Thailand. The property features a beach club, butler service, a gymnasium, a children's club, free WiFi and an international poolside restaurant.
