AirAsia has launched a special promotional fare of just RM99 to any ASEAN destinations (excluding taxes and fees), for all stranded travellers who are holding flight tickets to Europe (on any airline). The promotion starts today, 20 April 2010 and runs until 25 April 2010, for travel between 20 April and 23 May 2010.

This promotion is eligible for travellers who are traveling to Europe but are stranded in Malaysia and Singapore due to the current closure of air space in Europe. Passengers only need to show their flight tickets at any AirAsia Sales Office or AirAsia Sales Counter to enjoy this promotion to any ASEAN destinations (except Myanmar) departing from Malaysia and Singapore.

Kathleen Tan, Regional Head of Commercial, AirAsia Group said, Weve always known to be the Peoples Airline and this is our small contribution and offer for these affected passengers. We came-up with this special campaign to offer these stranded passengers a special fare to some other alternative holiday destinations in ASEAN, hoping to make up to guests disappointment of their cancelled trips due to the air travel disruption in Europe. For those who are supposed to be heading home, you can make the most out of the trip and visit other ASEAN destinations while waiting for the normal flights to resume.

With only RM99 one way, guests can book any flight departing from 20 April to 23rd May 2010 to any ASEAN countries including popular destinations such as Bali, Jakarta, Bangkok, Singapore, Siam Reap, Hanoi, Phuket, Krabi and many more.
