Theo Schuurhuis joins Boutique Hoi An Resort as General Manager

The Boutique Hoi An Resort in Vietnam has appointed Mr. Theo Schuurhuis as general manager effective today - 17 March 2010. Prior to this new position Mr. Schuurhuis was club manager of the Old Chengdu Club in China.

Mr. Schuurhuis has many years of experience in the hospitality industry with a strong background in food and beverage. He joined The Old Chengdu Club as director of food and beverage and later was promoted as club manager during the pre-opening period. He was involved in all opening aspects related to the club and hotel section including developing the concepts of seven restaurants, meeting rooms, lounge, spa and 22 hotel suites.

The Boutique Hoi An Resort, which has a total of 84 rooms and villas, is located on an absolute beachfront, only 45 minutes drive from Danang airport and 15 minutes to Hoi An World Heritage site. All rooms have their own private balcony with views of the China Sea. Other facilities in the resort include a restaurant and a bar, large size swimming pool located in the center of the resort, fitness center, massage pavilions, steam/sauna, kids club and a meeting facility. Unique services include kids eat free, kids activities, free Wi-Fi internet, free mini bar and free flow of local drinks with lunch and dinner. Boutique Hoi An Resort is scheduled to open mid 2010.
