IDeaS Revenue Optimization, a provider of revenue management software, services and consulting for the hospitality industry, has enhanced its V5i Revenue Management System with the release of 5.1.

IDeaS V5i Campaign Management Module intelligently links IDeaS V5i with a third-party marketing solution in order to provide coordination between revenue managers and marketers by virtue of a single synchronised view.

“As our economic situation continues to improve, hotels are expressing an increasing need for better, more informed decisions than ever,” said Linda Hatfield, vice president of product management, IDeaS. “The new functionality of the V5i 5.1. streamlines communication within different hotel departments, enhancing the experience for all users and ultimately, increasing the overall revenue management value for the organisation.”

Enhanced calculation and reporting of the Transient Benefits Report, outlines specific differences between group and transient business. The enhancement provides more insight into data volatility and displays transient benefits by day to allow for more precise analysis. A new report complements the module so that you can view, print, and export campaign management data.

A recently added multi-day Best Available Rate (BAR) Pace Report provides further analysis of BAR pace data that can be viewed for multiple days, lengths of stay or filtered by rate plan. In addition, a Forecast Comparison Report is enhanced with an option to recognise forecast trends for a user-defined date range and analysis period.

The IDeaS V5i 5.1. now supports the Chinese language, allowing IDeaS clients within the Chinese market an enhanced ability to manage the system with increased efficiency. In addition, users in this market will be less likely to make costly mistakes leading to better maintenance of hotel business practices.
