Thai Airways to Resume Flights to Johannesburg on 2 June 2010

Thai Airways International is to resume direct flights to Johannesburg, South Africa on 2 June 2010.

To celebrate, THAI is offering special promotional fares for travel to Johannesburg in Royal Silk Class and Economy Class, as well as special deals for passengers traveling in groups in Royal Silk Class. Royal Orchid Plus members traveling roundtrip to Johannesburg will also be able to earn bonus miles.

The airline will operate four flights per week on the Bangkok-Johannesburg route, on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday. With a flight time of 11 hours, THAI will operate the route with Boeing 777-200ER aircraft configured with 292 seats - 30 in Royal Silk Class and 262 in Economy Class.

Flight TG703 departs Bangkok at 01:15 to arrive in Johannesburg at 07:30 the same day. The return flight, TG704 departs Johannesburg at 13:40 to arrive in Bangkok at 05:55 the following day.

Economy Class fares departing from Bangkok start from THB 21,500 (excluding airport tax and other surcharges), and without  any mileage accumulation.
