Olivier Petit has been appointed as General Manager for the opening of the Centara Grand Beach Resort & Spa in Ain Sokhna on the Red Sea, the first Centara property in Egypt.

Olivier, with more than 35 years’ experience in the hospitality industry, has worked in 15 different countries in Africa, the Middle East and Asia, his experience covering both city and resort properties. Olivier is specialised in new openings as a General Manager, and Centara Grand Beach Resort & Spa Sokhna will be his sixth opening.

Centara Grand Beach Resort & Spa Sokhna is set on the beach at Ain Sokhna, which is on the Red Sea coast between Suez and Zafarana, and with its close proximity to Cairo is regarded as one of the main upcoming resort destinations in Egypt.

The architectural design of the 5-star property is based on a butterfly-shaped main structure, with 98 Deluxe and Club rooms as well as 21 villas. The property also caters for 73 privately owned villas of the same style. With six function rooms, the hotel will be an attractive venue for the corporate market wishing to organise meetings and seminars in an ideal setting close to the capital.

In addition to the three restaurants, the three bars and all the sports and recreational activities, there is a SPA Cenravee, a world-class spa encompassing the latest in health, traditional beauty and wellness therapies in surroundings that bring a gentle Thai touch to Egypt.
