LAN Airlines has made the following two key
marketing appointments in the Asia Pacific region.
Effective immediately,
Johanna Raeder will
take up the newly created role of Marketing Manager, Australia,
New Zealand and Asia, responsible for developing and implementing
the airline’s promotional activities, branding strategy and online
campaigns, and implementing and assessing marketing plans. Ms
Raeder was previously Marketing Manager at Business Executive
Suites for five years.
LAN also has appointed
Yendi Benitez to
another new role, that of Marketing Executive for the Australasian
and Asian regions, responsible for the implementation of branding
strategies, promotional campaigns, and both online and direct mail
activities. Ms Benitez previously worked for World Aviation
Systems in sales and pricing roles for carriers including LAN.
LAN General Manager Australia, New Zealand and
Asia, Rodrigo Contreras, said the airline group was increasing its
resources to maximise opportunities for growth in the Asia Pacific
region, where the aviation industry is growing faster than in any
other part of the world.
“We are achieving healthy growth in both
Australia and New Zealand, where we currently operate as an online
carrier, and we are very encouraged by the strong results from our
offline sales activities in Asia, where we see great potential,”
said Mr Contreras. “The creation of our first marketing unit in
the Asia Pacific region is a clear sign that we are confident
about the future, and that we are moving quickly to develop our
in-house capabilities in order to maximise our growth
opportunities in the most coordinated and cost effective way.”
