Agoda, an Asia-based online hotel reservation
service, has signed up to PayPal in order to give customers more
payment options.
With 75 million active users in 190 markets, and
a very strong presence in the UK, US and Australia, PayPal
provides Agoda customers with a popular online alternative to credit cards.
Mr. Robert Rosenstein, Chief
Operating Officer, Agoda, said, “Offering PayPal on our site grants
us access to PayPal’s 75 million active users and provides the
security and convenience that our travelers expect.”
Since its founding in 1998, PayPal has grown to
become a global leader in online payment solutions. PayPal allows
Agoda’s customers to transact securely without disclosure of
financial information online.
“Millions of consumers around the
world prefer to pay with PayPal because of its safety and
simplicity,” said Mario Shiliashki, general manager of PayPal
Southeast Asia and India. “We are thrilled that Agoda is now
offering its customers the ability to pay for hotels via PayPal.
PayPal is proven to increase sales by an average 14% , as a
result of delivering greater shopping convenience. We fully expect
Agoda to benefit from its addition of PayPal as an online payment
option on its site, by providing greater choice to its global
customer base.”
